Who is The Access to Aesthetics Course for?
The Access to Aesthetics Course has been developed for individuals with no previous experience or qualifications who wish to progress on to Level 4, 5, 6 & 7. The Access to Aesthetics Course is also suitable for individuals who have completed a CPD or accredited pathway and wish to have a regulated pathway for accessing aesthetic courses.
What subjects are covered in The Access to Aesthetics Course?
The Access Course consists of five units which include:
- Skin analysis and facial skincare (assessed via practical assessment & multiple choice theory exam)
- Consultation and client care (assessed via practical assessment & multiple choice theory exam)
- Anatomy, physiology and pathology (assessed via multiple choice theory exam)
- Electrical science (assessed via multiple choice theory exam)
- Maintain health and safety in the salon (assessed via practical assessment & multiple choice theory exam)
How is The Access to Aesthetics Course assessed?
The Access Course is assessed through practical observations and multiple choice question tests set by the examining body VTCT iTEC. Learners will complete both practical and theory towards the end of their course.
How is The Access Course delivered?
In the Access to Aesthetics Course all theory and practical training is delivered online via our learning platform. You will work your way through theory and practical videos online and check your theory learning with quizzes after each unit.
You will carry out your treatment practice by practicing from your own home or business. Your assessor will arrange video calls online to observe your progress. Once all theory is completed online and you are ready for the Summative assessments, you will attend Younique Aesthetics Academy to complete your six facial assessments and external MCQ tests.
What do I receive when I pass The Access to Aesthetics Course?
Upon successfully completing the course you will receive an accredited Certificate from VTCT iTEC.
What are the entry requirements for the Access to Aesthetics Course?
This course has no entry requirements as it is the entry level for the aesthetics pathway.
