Aine Larkin

Aine

Áine is principal of Younique Aesthetics Academy and has been an educator in the beauty and aesthetic industry since 2000.

As a former regional lead of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) in Northern Ireland and a member of the Joint Council of Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP), Aine is forefront in leading the way for aesthetic practitioners to be able to provide proof of their abilities.

She collaborated with other clinical practitioners, industry bodies and educationalists over the past year to design the new professional initiative “MAP-IQ Ltd”. This bespoke assessment platform offers a fast-track, all online, level 7 Diploma in clinical aesthetic injectable treatments to experienced practitioners who do not have a regulated qualification to evidence their competence.

Aine achieved an MSc in cosmetic Medicine (Dist), as well as a PGCE in Medical Education (Dist), adding to her portfolio of qualifications including Level 7 in Clinical Anatomy and Complication Management (MATA).

As one of the first aesthetic medicine practitioners in Northern Ireland, Aine regularly demonstrates her expertise across the UK and Ireland by offering training, mentorship, shadowing and one-to-one tutoring. She regularly carries out workshops for MERZ products as a MERZ innovation partner (MIP) demonstrating best techniques and practices.

Aine was credentialed in 2021 with Advanced Level Nurse Practitioner (ALNP), which allows nurses to gain formal recognition of their level of expertise and skill in their clinical practice.

Aine has a busy clinical practice, which is supported by clinical and skin therapists, as well as sales, digital marketing and HR staff.

Believing passionately in the power of education to expand human potential, transform lives, and shape new visions, Áine continually expands her own knowledge to ensure that education is delivered from the latest evidence base and that learners can be assured that the academy is delivering the best training in professional qualifications.
